Desktop Messaging
The current release of Desktop Messaging only supports the following e-mail clients: Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWare. For Netscape Mail configuration, please click here. Fax capabilities will be available at a later date.
Installation:
1) You have to sign up for this service through Telecommunications Services at a cost of $5/month for it to work.
2) Make sure you are using Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Notes or Novell GroupWare as your e-mail client. Make one of these your default e-mail client.
3) Close the default e-mail client on your desktop before installing.
4) Download the Desktop Messaging Installer.
5) You can choose to run it or save it to a folder on your computer. If you chose to save it to a folder, locate the self-extractable file(cp_dm25.exe) and double click on it.
6) Click "OK" on WinZip Self-Extractor.
7) Click "Setup" on WinZip Self-Extractor - cp_dm25.exe.
8) Click Next on the Welcome to the Callpilot Desktop Messaging Installation Wizard, click "Next".
9) Select a language and click "Next".
10) Accept or define the destination folder and click "Next".
11) Where it ask to Select Type of E-Mail Client, make sure the box next to the type of e-mail client you are using are checked. You may also want to check the Internet Mail Client (Audio Player) to install the player. Then click "Next".
12) Under CallPilot Server Setting, accept the default settings and click "Next".
13) Where it asks you to enter your Callpilot Mailbox Number, enter your 7 digits phone number.
14) Where it asks for LDAP Server Settings, accept the default settings and click "Next".
15) Under LDAP server account, make sure you have 1618 plus your 7 digits phone number, then click "Next".
16) Under Additional Options, check whatever applies to you.
17) After you have successfully installed Desktop Messaging, bring up you e-mail client and you will be prompted to enter your password. Your password is the same as your voice mail password and by default it is 618 plus your 7 digits phone number unless you have change it.
18) Once you have logged in, you will see a Callpilot Messaging Store under your e-mail client folder list. Under that folder you will see an Inbox, Outbox, Deleted Items and a Sent Items. Open the Inbox, your voice mail will be in the Inbox.
