Cisco Systems, Inc. Virtual Private Network (VPN) Client Installation

The following instructions are provided to assist in the installation and use of the Network Associated Virex 7 software for Apple, Inc. Macintosh computers. The Virex program will protect your Macintosh from the viruses curretnly known to be in exiostence, and contains an update facility to receive information and cleaning instructions for any new viruses as they are found. Please download the current version from the SIUC FTP site at: ftp://ftp.siu.edu/antivirus/mac-osx/virex77/Virex 7.7.dmg.

The instructions below show the installation of version 7.2 of the Virex program. The current version is 7.7, and the installer has been converted to a .dmg mountable disk image file. The installation however is basically the same after the first two steps.

Once the file has been downloaded, double-click it to start the installation program. Details of the process are shown below.
