Most of the classrooms in this table are restricted to faculty and students from the sponsoring college, department, or unit. Only Records & Registration (453-2997) sponsor open technology classrooms. Restricted-access classrooms in this table are prefaced with an (R). If you are unsure whether you are authorized to use a given classroom, check with the department or college. Wham 105 Davis Auditorium

SMART Sympodium, rear projection screen, projector, computer/DVD, VCR, stereo sound system, video conferencing.

Wham 110

7 Windows XP computers with scanners, video capture capability from digital video cameras, analog video cameras or VHS tapes, Pinnacle Studio video editing software, and Microsoft Office. CD/DVD burning capability. All computers are connected to the Internet by Ethernet.

Wham 110 is an open lab for all students and faculty on campus. Students and Faculty must have a valid Network ID to log into the computers.

 

Wham 112

72” SmartBoard connected to a teacher station with Windows XP option, connected by Ethernet to the Internet. CD burning capabilities, DVD display capability, videotape projection capability, scanning capability, white board. SmartBoard is also equipped with Polycom videoconferencing capability for distance learning. 24 student desks with Ethernet connection, laptops with wireless/wired option and CD burning capability. All laptops are Windows XP.

Wham 112 seats 25. Wham 112 can be scheduled by instructors. Contact the technology coordinator (453-7304) bruns@siu.edu) to schedule the classroom.

 

Wham 201/202 Math lab      

2 SmartBoards, Sharp TV/VCR DVD 27" flat screen, HP Laser Jet 5100 printer, Epson 3200 Photo Scanner, PowerMac G4 w/display, 28 Mac iBook 256 MB SDRAM, HP Inkjet printer , LCD projector.

The Math Laboratory is used by CI mathematics methods instructors and Mathematics department instructors to deliver CI/Math 120, CI/Math 200, 220, CI 321, CI 322, and graduate courses. Courses are scheduled Monday-Friday. Open times are available for student use.

Wham 201/202 is tightly scheduled with classes and student open labs each semester. Summer session may have some availability.

Wham 210

Teacher station with Ethernet connection, CD/DVD burning capabilities, Smart projection system, videotape projection capability, scanning capability, white board. 16 student stations with Ethernet connection, CD burning capability, scanning capability. All computers are Macintosh OS X. Lab A is equipped with G4 computers, Lab B with G5 computers.

Wham 210 can be scheduled by instructors, and also serves as an open lab for all students on campus when not scheduled for classes. Contact the lab office (453-2811) or the lab director (453-2848 shostet@siu.edu) to schedule the lab.

Wham 308               Imac Teacher Station w/ Zip and floppy drives, 240gb Snap Server, Epson LCD projector (remotely accessed), Polycom Distance Learning Viewstation (on request), (2) 32” Television Monitors, VCR, DVD Player, 72” SmartBoard, (2) 8’ White Board, (1) Canon Optura Video Recorder, 9’x9’ Projection screen, Kenwood Receiver, Polk Surround Sound Speakers, Data Link student desks, (20) 800mhz Apple Powerbooks (on request), 20 Imac G5 workstations. Wham 308 is primarily used by CI instructors to deliver methods courses (middle level, elementary education and early childhood). Wham 308 is also available for graduate courses, seminars and workshops. Times not scheduled by CI for classroom and student use are open to the College of Education and Human Services. Wham 308 is scheduled for classroom use by CI each semester. Times not used by classes are open for student use, and the lab will be attended by a graduate assistant during these times. Wham 308 is tightly scheduled fall, spring, intersession and summer sessions. A schedule is posted outside the classroom door. 

Fridays are generally scheduled for CI/COEHS workshops, training sessions, and meetings.           

Pulliam 204b

Fifteen (15) student notebook computer stations - Dell Latitude Pentium III 1.13 GHz with wireless connectivity, Instructor notebook - Dell Latitude Pentium III 1.13 GHz with wireless connectivity connected to a SMARTBoard Interactive Whiteboard. Two (2) video editing workstations - Dell Precession Precision Workstation Dual Xeon 2.0 GHz and Dell Precision Workstation Pentium IV 2.53 GHz. Mobile Mobile lab - 20 Dell Latitude Pentium III 1.13 GHz with wireless connectivity.

M-F: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. as arranged by Instructor

Pulliam 204c

Videoconferencing center with Smart Sympodium IM capabilities;  projection integration. "61" Plasma Display; Polycom iPower 9000 videoconferencing unit with Document camera and DVD/VCR connectivity; Dell Latitude Pentium IV 2.4 GHz notebook; Document camera; SMART Sympodium IM-150 providing integration of the above technologies; DISH Network.

WED faculty and staff

M-F: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Pulliam 304 (Science Lab)     iMacs (12) ;  Sanyo projector + speakers, Mac G4 +17” monitor for instructor, Scanner, fee based HP Laser Jet Printer. The Science laboratory is used to deliver CI methods courses (CI 426, 427) and science workshops and seminars (CI 498d, o and CI 585d, o). Other CI science education and environmental education courses are taught in this room as well. Classes are scheduled into Pulliam 304 by CI each semester Availability varies.
