Apple Computers, Software, and Accessories

Southern Illinois University has an ongoing contract with Apple for direct purchases of Computers, Software and Accessories. The entire Apple product line is available under the current contract.  Built-to-order options are available so that systems can be customized to fit the needs of both individual customers and departments. Products are available at educationally discounted prices.

The Apple Store has been set up to allow access to the latest news and information on Apple products for Education. This website also provides faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to see all products available for purchase from Apple and their educationally discounted prices.

There are two types of purchases that can be made through Apple: individual and institutional. For individual purchases that use personal funds, it is recommended that you review the Apple Store website for further assistance in choosing a machine and placing an order.

The University Bookstore is now the authorized reseller of Apple products on campus. Visit them to learn what products they have that will suite your needs and save time on shipping!

For institutional purchases that use University funds, go to the Apple Store for Education, and search for Southern Illinois University to log in or browse as a guest. You will be taken to the custom SIU Apple Store for institutional purchases. Select the equipment that you would like to purchase and place the items in your shopping cart. When you have completed this process, click on the top button labeled "View your Proposal" and make sure that all the items and quantities in your shopping cart are correct.  Next, click on the "Create Proposal" button and set up an Apple ID account. After doing so, you will be taken to the "Proposal Information" page, which requires additional information about the proposal. Be sure to include your email address, as well as your purchaser's email address. Next, please click the "Continue" button, at which time you will be taken to a page that will say "Thank You!" at the top and will indicate that your order has been sent to you via e-mail.  You will also notice a Web Proposal number above your order. It is recommended that you "Download Your Proposal Information" and print a copy. The proposal will be forwarded to the email addresses that you provided. Send this Apple proposal with your purchase requisition to SIU Purchasing. Please contact the SIUC Univeristy Bookstore at  This email address is being protected from spambots.
